Basel Airport Train

There aren’t direct trains from Basel Airport since it hasn’t a main train station. 

To take any of the available trains of either Switzerland, France or German railways, you need to transfer to Saint-Louis SNCF Station (France) or Basel Bahnhof SBB (Switzerland).

They are located within 5 minutes from the main terminal.

By Tram

If you wish to transfer to Badischer Bahnhof (German Railway Station) from Basel Airport, you can do it by tram, since it stops outside the terminal building.

In order to transfer to Badischer Bahnhof, you need to board the Tram line number 2 at Bahnhof SBB, located at just 5 minutes from the main terminal, to Badischer Bahnhof, which is located at Basel city.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 05:18 am to 01:41 am every 4 minutes, Saturday from 05:23 am to 01:41 am every 15 minutes, and Sunday and public holidays, from 05:23 am to 01:41 am every 15 minutes. 

Total trip time is of 33 minutes.

Tickets are sold at SBB Swiss Railways Counter at Basel Airport, in the ticket booths of either Bahnhof SBB or Badischer Bahnhof station.
